These are some of the wonderful comments some of our recent guests have left. Thank you for the kind words!

Joe and Carmela and family from Plainview, New York wrote: "Our family always wanted to visit Tuscany but we were unsure about the best way to plan the trip. We saw the Conventino site and began to email Elizabeth several months before we made our decision. Her patience with our questions and knowledge of the area convinced us to make the booking. It was the best travel decision our family ever made! We visited historic places and experienced ristorantes that we would never have found on our own. It was truly a unique experience and one we will never forget. We cannot say enough about the hospitality offered by Elizabeth and Stephen and we continue to recommend Conventino to all our friends and relatives."

Carole wrote: “If you are looking for that once-in-a-lifetime trip, you might want to consider a stay at Il Conventino in beautiful Tuscany. In May of this year, four friends and I experienced this amazing place. Set in a nature reserve, 5 kms from a small, charming and picturesque hill town,Anghiari, Il Conventino is an oasis of calm and beauty. The birds sing all day and it is very peaceful. The accommodations are exceptional and modern, comfortable and homey. The hosts, Elizabeth and Stephen, open their home and you feel like you are visiting friends. The personal tours that they provide introduce you to the arts, culture, history, food and wines of Tuscany. It is a feast for the senses. [And feast you do.... Elizabeth and Stephen wine and dine you on fresh, local, wonderful Tuscan food and wines.] Elizabeth tours you through the art galleries, museums and churches, explaining the stories in the frescos on the wall, showing you the paintings by the famous masters and the local masters, as well. You’ll see the highlights in the Uffizi, Etruscan museums and the incredible Cathedrals. You’ll visit the local linen factories, the olive oil factory, local artisans, local castles and go places where the average tourist doesn't get to go.

The trip was an experiences that none of us will forget and our hosts went out of their way to make it a memorable experience. Would we go again - in a heartbeat!”

Noelleen and Michael from Sydney, Australia wrote: "We feel privileged to have stayed in such wonderful surroundings while exploring Tuscany. Your warmth and hospitality has helped make this an unforgettable experience and we hope to meet again at our upcoming reunion."

Louise from St. John's, New Brunswick, Canada wrote: "My favourite memories of this visit will be of watching Liz laugh until the tears came -- her giggle would make an angel weep. And Steve's "Hang on a minute, now!" always introduced the next element of argument for discussion... Your kindness, open hearts, love and great knowledge of your country and countryside made for an unforgettable experience. Thank you for everything!"

Mady and Larry from Los Angeles, California, USA wrote: "Il Conventino is spectacular and special and the two of you? Your enthusiasm and free spirited approach to life are truly inspirational. So much so that you can expect us back in a month of so. We thought we'd move in (with kids of course) while Lario gets his wine concern up and going..."

Paul and Susan from British Columbia, Canada wrote: "It has been a lifelong dream to visit Italy. I can say with all honesty that both of you made it a memorable trip. Thanks for all you did and also for all the little things that we are not aware of and will not appreciate until much later. We certainly count you as new-found friends and not just guides on the tour. May all your dreams for the Conventino come true. It has been a pleasure indeed!"

Mary and Jerry from New York and Arizona, USA wrote: "Don't know how we got so lucky finding you but I know we couldn't have found two nicer hosts in a such a special place as yours. I dreamed of coming to Tuscany and seeing the pastoral sights but never did I expect to not only have seen them but to have found most probably the best spot. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable... It's been so much fun. I'm sure I'll have many recommendations to friends and family. Won't be the last you'll hear from us!"
